William Lyons’ entire professional career has been devoted to mortgages, real estate, and American veterans.
Lyons started out as a loan officer, then in 2013 he decided to start his own business, becoming the founder, president and CEO of Griffin Funding.
To differentiate the business, Lyons decided the team would become VA loan experts so they could help veterans finance and refinance their homes.
In 2015, he led the company to switch from brokerage of loans to other lenders to a direct lender. Under Lyons’ direction, Griffin Funding was recognized in the 500 Inc and Top 100 in San Diego County.
For the third year in a row, Lyons serves on the Board of Directors of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization – San Diego Chapter. He has appeared on Shark Tank and is a member of the Forbes Real Estate Council. Most importantly, Lyons is establishing itself as a leader in the industry, within its company and among its employees.
He continually shows that he cares about his people, his clients, his veterans and his community. One such example is making sure your team gives back to the community by donating a portion of all of their VA loan income to Shelter to Soldier.
This organization rescues dogs from shelters and then trains them to be service dogs for veterans with PTSD. Through its contributions to Shelter to Soldier, Griffin Funding has supported the adoption and training of two separate service dogs over the past 12 months that have been delivered to veterans who need them to lead healthy and productive lives. .
