Cortez Masto and Rosen Announce Resolution Recognizing Las Vegas Aces for First National Championship

washington d.c. – U.S. Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-Nev.) and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) sponsored a resolution in the United States Senate recognizing the historic victory of the Las Vegas Aces women’s basketball team at the the WNBA Finals on Sunday, September 18.e2022.

The victory marks the first major league professional sports championship in the history of the City of Las Vegas and the State of Nevada. The historic win was led by Aces head coach Becky Hammon, the first former WNBA player to coach a championship team and the first female coach in WNBA history to win a title in her first season. of training.
