The Las Vegas Raiders may not be undefeated anymore, but they are fortunate enough to stay that way at home against the Chicago Bears.
In what could be a very emotional game with the return of former Raiders linebacker Khalil Mack, we’ll take a look at the biggest keys to a potential Raiders victory as well as our final game predictions.
Don’t let Chicago hang around
There’s a reason the Raiders are currently a 5.5-point favorite before the game, and that’s because they have so far proven to be a better team than Chicago.
A good note for good teams, of course, is winning the games they’re supposed to, and for the Raiders to do that against the Bears, they can’t afford to let Chicago hang out in this game at all.
Playing against a rookie quarterback at Justin Fields, against an attack and defense that did not perform well against the good teams they faced, is a chance for a Raiders to bounce back.
In a division that appears to be the strongest in the league right now, the Raiders can’t afford to miss out on these kinds of opportunities.
Can the offensive line recover?
One of the main reasons the Raiders lost 21-0 in last week’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers was because they were dominated on the line of scrimmage.
It’s been a problem all season, and they won’t have a break to face Mack and another former All-Pro in Robert Quinn.
Chicago’s best bet for winning the game will be if its defense can reach Derek Carr, and the Raiders’ offensive line needs to be prepared knowing they can’t afford to play like they did on Monday.
The Raiders’ home atmosphere with the fans has proven to be boisterous so far, and that should help them get back on track against the Bears.
As long as they don’t shoot themselves in the foot, the Raiders should be able to take care of home affairs and return to the winning column.
The Raiders take it 31-20.
