Kiss’s Las Vegas Strip residence canceled

The thing with showbiz is that there is no such thing as a sure thing. This is true even when Kiss is booked for a residence on the Strip.

The series that caused a lot of noise at Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater has been canceled as tickets are removed from the Caesars Entertainment / Ticketmaster link. The shows were scheduled to open on December 29 and run until February 5.

Zappos Theater representatives say ticket suppliers will contact buyers with refund information. The venue would also follow the group’s kissonline.com website for more details.

Representatives for Live Nation and Caesars Entertainment have yet to respond to requests for comment. Live Nation has an exclusive reservation contract with Caesars Entertainment, owner of the Zappos Theater and Planet Hollywood. Toll-free ticket sales are reportedly the reason (and usually the reason) for the race being canceled.

Kiss has toured extensively this year, although the series has been postponed for several shows as co-founders. Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons both have tested positive for COVID.

Simmons put his Las Vegas-area estate up for sale this month and also had an exhibition of his original paintings at the Animazing Gallery at The Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes.

In addition to showing fans around the country, the group is also currently on a chock-full of Caribbean “Kiss Kruise” aboard Norwegian Gem. The trip began Friday and ends Tuesday, taking the band and fans to Harvest Caye, Belize and Roatan, Honduras. As a result, fans have had many opportunities, both on land and at sea, to see Kiss outside of her scheduled Vegas shows.
