LeBron James has revealed he’s ready to buy an NBA team in Las Vegas.

King outlined his plans to grow his business portfolio even further, telling “The Shop” that he wanted to bring professional men’s hoops to Vegas, suggesting he could potentially take on an expansion team.
LeBron, who already has a stake in Fenway Sports Group, which owns the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool FC, among other franchises, has previously said his goal is to own an NBA franchise “as soon as possible.”
Asked about the complications that would come from having a team and doing analyst work at the same time, LeBron makes it clear that he would much rather be in the owner’s box than in a television studio.
The NBA already hosts Summer League games in Las Vegas and it seems only a matter of time before the NBA expands there.
Recently, the 37-year-old Ohio native became the first active NBA player to become a billionaire. Michael Jordan had already reached that threshold, but only after his playing days were over.
The Lakers forward continues to play at the All-Star level and has declared his hope of finishing his career alongside his son Bronny James, a 2024 draft prospect.
“My senior year will be played with my son,” the four-time MVP told Jason Lloyd of The Athletic in February. “Wherever Bronny is, that’s where I’ll be. I’ll do whatever it takes to play with my son for a year. It’s not about the money then.”
