Miranda Lambert’s Billboard Performance Just Her Last Vegas Trip

Miranda Lambert never performed at a Las Vegas residency. But she knows the neighborhood quite well.

Lambert scouted the Strip before landing at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood, where she opens “Velvet Rodeo” on September 23. The series extends on certain dates until April 9.

The Miranda team took note of the line-up of the city’s headliner and took notes on those performers.

“We actually did a little scouting trip, I guess I could call it, last December,” Lambert said during the red carpet walk, which was actually a white carpet parade, during of Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden. “A bunch of my band and crew came over just to watch a few shows. We saw Brooks and Dunn and Reba at the Coliseum and Shania Twain at Zappos. We did a little country tour.

The architecture of Zappos matches Lambert’s vision of turning the former Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts into a saloon.

“It’s kind of intimate, to me, and we can kind of make the theater feel like a big old honky tonk,” Lambert said, standing alongside his TV duet partner Elle King. . “That’s exactly what I wanted.”

Lambert says she’s continuing the Vegas tour.

“There are so many other shows I want to see, with Silk Sonic being at the top of the list,” Lambert said. “I’m very excited to explore and learn from other artists.”

No return visit

So Illenium and I have something in common. Two things, actually. We both love Tiesto, and we both love his costume.

“Check me out, it’s Dolce Gabbana,” the spinner star laughed during a quick modeling session.

Illenium wore this dazzling floral-patterned costume to accept the Top Dance/Electronic Album trophy. “It is heavy !” he said (other winners also commented on the weight of the prize). “I’ve never won an award.”

The superstar performed the first-ever ticketed concert at Allegiant Stadium.

“It was my favorite night of my life,” the Tao Group Hospitality headliner said. “It was very comforting for me to play for so long in front of so many fans in a new stadium. Everything was perfect.”

But Illenium did not return to Allegiant.

“Honestly, I’m a little scared to go back because I have such sentimental value for this show,” he said.

Illenium says he’s not a big fan of pool parties at nightclubs. But he had a blast on Saturday at the renovated Tao Beach Club, where DJ Khalid jumped into his set for a crowded pool deck.

“It’s so good, so good,” said Illenium, the 31-year-old Chicago native. “There are really fun vibes. I love playing there. As a DJ you can see everyone and you can really see that people are having so much fun.

Illenium’s very first gig was actually played by an icon who is now a rival to The Strip.

“It was Tiesto, circa 2010, and he’s so talented, and he has one ear to the ground,” the DJ said. “He’s definitely one of my icons in this whole scene, and he’s a great guy.”

Your Diddy Moment

TV broadcast host, executive producer and rap superstar Sean “Diddy” Combs dove into the TikTok zone during the white carpet walk. He insisted on sending back a photo of Ciroq (with an orange corner) before saying, “What I love about TikTok on Instagram is that you can be dumber on TikTok. It’s not so much about your business as it is about your creativity. I’m trying to show that the black family isn’t all messed up, they’re going to jail and they’re in a hut. I show a vision of truth, to uplift the soul and break stereotypes.

He added, “I’m about to make a big comeback on TikTok. I haven’t even started. Then he said, ‘I’m going to leave you with this latest news, and I’m going to go out and kill this show. “

O.. Khaled

DJ Khaled was arrested on the mat by a Canadian entertainment outlet.

“Ask me how to spell Canada!” ” He shouted. The interviewer said, “How do you spell Canada?” »

“Nope!” said Khaled. “You ask me!” He was asked and shouted, “DRAKE!” Hey, it feels like Drake might actually buy and sell the country.
