LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Nancy Jean Hermeler (Lenich), 64, died on Friday, February 25, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she resided with her husband John. Nancy was born in Laurium on June 12, 1957 to Ruth and Clarence Lenich of 121 Florida Street.

She attended Calumet High School and was a member of the Calumet High School Band, under John Lehto. She played both cornet and French horn.

Nancy graduated with the class of 1976. She then earned a business degree from Northern Michigan University and had a career with the Veterans Administration, first in North Hills, California, then in Phoenix, Arizona.

Nancy and John loved to travel, they spent a year in Den Helder, the Netherlands and traveled extensively around Europe.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents and her great-niece Eva Christine Khatami.

She is survived by her husband John; sister, Mary Senecal; nieces, Molly and Anna Senecal; great-nieces, Shelby Khatami and Eleanor Campbell, and great-nephews, DJ Khatami.

Nancy was a wife, daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend. She will be missed.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. in Section B-2 of Lake View Cemetery. Ryan’s Funeral Home is serving the family.
