Dear packaging and processing professionals,
PACK EXPO Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging EXPO are activated and we continue to see strong industry engagement from exhibitors and attendees. In light of the recent news regarding peak COVID-19 cases, we want to be sure you have the facts. Las Vegas continues to host events with new protocols in place, which PMMI will implement in all facets of our show, following all CDC and local regulations and industry best practices. We closely monitor all show metrics and are in regular communication with our exhibitors and attendee base, including many of the leading CPG companies planning to attend, so that we understand and meet your needs.
Registrations are increasing daily with nearly 1,000 packaging and processing professionals signing up just last week. While attendance may be affected due to travel restrictions and other restrictions, particularly with international participants, we expect to exceed 20,000 participants in September. Although it will be down from our last show, it will be a major show and the largest and busiest packaging and processing show since 2019. Based on all indications to date, I think the majority of the industry is excited to come together with the more than 1,500 exhibitors who will be spread across four large halls at the Las Vegas Convention Center. New exhibitors are added every week, in fact we added 16 new exhibitors just last week. You can always see the most up-to-date exhibitor list here. And learn more about the participants here.
PACK EXPO Las Vegas and Healthcare Packaging EXPO will be the first opportunity in 18 months to see the technology live and in person in action and is the only comprehensive packaging and processing show in the world this year. To organize a successful event, we work hand in hand with Las Vegas executives to ensure that all health and safety guidelines are strictly followed. Clark County Commission Chair Marilyn Kirkpatrick wants everyone to know that ‘Las Vegas is open for business‘ and further shared’ with our health officials and resort and tourism partners we do everything possible to safely host trade shows and meetings in our destination. We remain optimistic that getting more people vaccinated in our community in conjunction with our current mandate on masks will allow us to keep our workforce, community and visitors safe and to advance our tourism economy as well. that we continue our efforts to put the pandemic behind us. »You can also consult our PACK Ready health and safety plan, which we will keep updated as we continue to adapt to changing conditions and evolving guidelines over the next seven weeks leading up to the show.
