Three Las Vegas Raiders who have impressed so far

Despite a bad start at 1 (win) -4 (loss), the Las Vegas Raiders saw players stand out early in the season.

It helps even more when those performances defied expectations of what people originally thought that player would do, and we’ll look at some of those here.

Josh Jacobs

The Raiders starting racing seemed like a bit of an afterthought before this season.

Wide receiver Davante Adams’ trade has emphasized the Raiders’ passing game, and RB rookie Zamir White’s draft has given the impression the Raiders could take a more committee approach to directing the ball.

All this while the Raiders rejected Jacobs’ fifth-year option on his contract, and Jacobs responded with the best performance of his career.

He is currently third in the NFL with 490 rushing yards averaging 5.4 yards per carry.

Dylan Parham

It has helped Jacobs that the Raiders’ offensive line has looked better over the past two weeks, with rookie guard Dylan Parham playing a key role.

He alternated between playing center and both guard positions in the first five games, and was able to defend himself.

His Pro Football Focus rating puts Parham among the top 20 guards in the NFL, a big achievement for the Raiders after drafting him in the third round last year.

Davante Adams

It may not seem like Adams has to work that hard to impress, but he’s been quarterback Derek Carr’s one consistent target.

Adams has three 100-yard games and five touchdowns, still looking a lot like the elite receiver he has been in recent years.

His rapport with Carr will be there all season, a threat that will only grow as the Raiders’ other weapons get back on track.
