Tony Khan, AEW President thanked the fans at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas after last night’s “Dynamite” went off the air.
As AEW celebrates its third anniversary this week, an emotional Khan thanked AEW’s loyal fanbase who have supported the company since its inception in 2019.
“Thank you all,” Khan said. “It’s crazy to think it’s our third anniversary. We didn’t think we’d ever come back to Las Vegas after Double or Nothing 2 [in 2020] since we ended up having Double or Nothing two years in a row at Daily’s Place. Not what I expected, but I hope many of you enjoyed these shows. We tried to keep on fighting [through the pandemic] for fans everywhere – including those here in Las Vegas.
Khan went on to call Las Vegas the “fighting capital of the world” and said he hoped to make “Double or Nothing” in Sin City an annual tradition.
“Thank you to all the fans who came back to Double or Nothing week,” said Tony Khan. “It’s the beginning of a restart as we say in the tradition. Because I want to keep Double or Nothing in Las Vegas forever. I’ll see you Friday for Rampage and Sunday for Double or Nothing.
Khan ended his speech by shouting “Forever” several times as fans gave him loud pops.
