NEW YORK-The summer market season is ripe with new table top offerings, including new holiday collections as well as well-made new glassware. Some collections were shown at the recent Atlanta market, others will debut at the Las Vegas market next month, and still more are on the market right now.
Bal de Béatriz has added some 90 new items to its portfolio for the summer trade show season, including the Las Vegas market next month. The brand’s new product categories include its first Christmas collection, as well as cutlery. The award-winning Sierra Modern series is enriched with new trays, trays and photo frames. Sierra Modern items are crafted with gold, rose gold and gunmetal finishes.
The popular Nube collection in luxury melamine is enriched with five new pieces: three bowls, a standing cake stand and a large rectangular tray. The Havana melamine series gets matching tableware components. Bamboo melamine tableware is also new.
Lenox has two holiday introductions: Holiday Luna Nesting Dinnerware, the Christmas version of its spherical dinnerware set that includes six different sized bowls and two plates that fit together to form a globe; and Profile Snow Day decorative pieces that feature whimsical winter scenes on white plates and bowls.
Herend has also launched several holiday items, including a Christmas dessert set that features four different fishnet holiday themes – a gingerbread man, Christmas tree, snowman, or Santa’s bunny – on a scalloped porcelain dessert plate with a gold edge. The collection also includes small Christmas tree boxes (also in fishnet), a nativity scene angel and many new figurines.
british designer Tom dixon has added to his collection of Puck glassware, which is inspired by the basic shapes of geometry. The cylinders, cones and spheres are made of hand-blown glass with a touch of smoky color anchored by a thick base reminiscent of game slices. New additions include whiskey glasses, water goblets and a carafe.
Villeroy & Boch launched two collections of glasses. Manufacture Rock has a sophisticated matte black foot and base to match the Manufacture Rock tableware, available in red wine glasses, white wine glasses and champagne flutes. Also new are premium porcelain mugs featuring short sayings on simple white mugs.
